i configured and installed cups via /etc/config.scm and reconfigured
and now gsd-xsettings takes 200% cpu on a 4 core machine. it is making
gnome intolerably slow. is this a known issue?

i will gladly post any requested data just wasn't sure what was needed.
thanks for all your time and efforts for this project!

Oh wow! Thanks for reporting that. It appears I have the same issue. I
enabled cups and I passively noticed sometimes but often cpu buffer
light blinking rapidly in my x200t even though I am not performing any
operations. Now checking the system monitor, what you say appears to be
true.
