Hi,
I've recently reconfigured my system and now have the default gdm loginscreen. Unfortunately, it doesn't always shouw up at boot (waiting afew minutes doesn't help), so I end up having to log in on the tty andrestart the xorg-server service (which is marked as running).

When GDM fails to show up, does /var/lib/gdm/.local/share/xorg/Xorg*.logor ~/.local/share/xorg/Xorg*.log show any hints?
Thanks,Ludo’.

On my machine I have the “got pause” messages, but these are the lastmessages and then everything works.
Does /var/log/messages show anything regarding elogind? It could bethat the real problem lies with elogind, although that bit has beenreliable in my experience.
Thanks,Ludo’.
